Privacy & Data Protection

When you create a KroxNight account, we collect:

• Your email address, used to sign you in and reach you about your account.
• A display name and, if you choose to upload one, a profile avatar.
• Optional profile fields you fill in yourself.
• Gameplay stats — the nights you've played or hosted, roles you've been assigned, wins, and survival — so we can show leaderboards and your own history.
• Display names are sent to our voice provider (ElevenLabs) to generate the in-game narration that calls players by name. You can set a pronunciation override or use Guest mode to avoid this.

We never ask for payment card details, government ID, or any information beyond what's needed to run and secure your account.

Every piece of data we collect exists to make the game work:

• Matching you to the right room, night, and role.
• Showing leaderboards, stats, and your own game history.
• Keeping your account secure and recovering access if you're locked out.
• Improving KroxNight itself — fixing bugs, balancing roles, building features people ask for.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or any other commercial purpose beyond running and improving KroxNight. There are no third-party ad trackers on this site, and your gameplay data is never packaged up and sold or shared with marketers.

If you'd rather not hand over an email or any personal details, you can join a night as an anonymous guest. Guest sessions let you play a full game without creating a profile — your guest data stays tied only to that session, not to a real-world identity.

Authentication runs on Supabase Auth: passwords are hashed and are never stored or visible in plain text, and every table that holds player or game data is protected by row-level security policies scoped to the signed-in user. We restrict access to production data to what's needed to operate the service, and we treat any data exposure as a priority incident, not an afterthought.

You can update or remove your profile information at any time from your account settings. If you'd like your account and its data deleted entirely, or you have any question about this policy, reach out and we'll take care of it.
